A Faces Consent alternative that takes nothing from your takings

Faces is free to use, and its published terms set a 1.19% transaction fee on FacePay including VAT, plus a percentage of every deposit it collects, deducted from your account each week. Beautay is £24.95 a month flat and takes no percentage of anything you collect.

Why practitioners switch

Free describes the software, not the money

Faces charges nothing for the platform, but its published terms set a FacePay transaction fee of 0.99% plus VAT, 1.19% in total, and entitle it to a percentage of every deposit it collects on your behalf, invoiced weekly and deducted straight from your account.

Beautay's £24.95 a month is £299.40 a year. On the 1.19% rate alone that is the break-even at around £25,000 of card payments, take more than that in a year and the free platform is the more expensive one, before its deposit fee is counted at all.

They want to know the rate they are paying

The FacePay figure is published. The deposit fee is not: the terms say only that the company is entitled to "a set percentage fee of the deposit collected", with the percentage left to be notified separately.

Beautay's number does not move. £24.95 a month, £9.95 for each additional practitioner, and nothing taken from the payments or deposits you collect, so the cost of a good month is the same as the cost of a quiet one.

They need the record to go past consent

Consent is what Faces does best, over 200 insurance-verified forms, which is more templates than most practitioners will ever use.

Beautay adds the layer after consent: injection points plotted on face and body charts with the product and amount used, batch numbers and expiry against each treatment, before and after photos on one timeline, and multi-session treatment plans.

They want the booking journey to be theirs

Faces lists clinics in its own directory, so discovery runs through the Faces brand and the client's first impression belongs to the platform.

Beautay puts your booking site on your own domain under your own name, with no directory and no marketplace sitting beside it.

Where Beautay wins

  • Your busiest month costs the same as your quietest

Beautay earns one way: £24.95 a month, and £9.95 for each additional practitioner. Nothing is taken from a transaction, a deposit or a no-show fee.

A percentage does the opposite, it grows precisely as you grow, so the better your year, the more the platform takes. A practitioner turning over £60,000 in card payments would pay around £714 a year at 1.19%, against £299.40 for a Beautay subscription.

There is no product margin, no prescriber referral and no finance commission either, so the only reason to keep you is that the software does its job.

  • Stock tracking that is not tied to a shop

Log what you actually bought, from whoever you bought it from, with batch numbers, expiry dates and low-stock alerts.

If a batch is recalled you can identify every client treated from it, whatever the supply route was.

  • The whole clinic day in one place

Bookings, deposits and no-show protection, digital consent and pre-payment screening, client records, treatment plans, reminders, aftercare, loyalty and marketing all run in the same system.

The trial is 30 days with no card, so the full journey can be built and tested before any money changes hands.

Faces Consent details taken from facesconsent.com on 16 August 2026, including its published features, marketplace and joining offer. The fees quoted are from its own terms and conditions: clause 1.1 sets a FacePay transaction fee of "0.99% per transaction, inclusive of VAT at the standard UK rate, totalling 1.19%", and clause 8.2 states that "for each deposit collected the Company shall be entitled to a set percentage fee of the deposit collected", with clause 8.4 deducting fees weekly. The deposit percentage is not published. The 1.19% rate applies to FacePay; Faces also documents Stripe and Ryft gateways whose terms were not published on the pages checked. Break-even figures are arithmetic on Beautay's £24.95 a month against that 1.19%. Check both sites before deciding, prices and terms change.
