Does Beautay charge a transaction fee at point of sale?
No. Payments are processed through Stripe into your own connected account, and Beautay takes no percentage of anything you collect. You pay Stripe's processing rate and the £24.95 monthly subscription, and nothing else.
Can I sell retail products through the same checkout?
Yes. Retail sits alongside treatments, packages and gift cards on one transaction, and stock levels update as items sell so your reporting reflects what actually left the shelf.
How are deposits handled at checkout?
A deposit taken at the point of booking is deducted automatically, so the checkout figure is the outstanding balance. There is no reconciling between a booking system and a separate card machine.
Do I need a card reader?
Not necessarily. You can take payment on a saved card, send a payment link, or use a Stripe-supported reader if you want to present a physical terminal at the desk.
Does it work for a clinic with several locations?
